I am sure some of you have probably wondered why I hadn't been posting in a while. Story time!
It's been about a month ago now, but my Children's father had just gotten home from work. He's a kitchen manager and had to close on a busy night and just got home at 1am. We were in our back room, and we were watching YouTube videos. Ironically it was about Russia and Ukraine. We were talking about if China tried to step in and try to come into America. That we would have no control over any of it unless they were physically walking down our street in Military uniform. My children's father said, "really only reason we have a gun is for situations we need it like that." Personally, since growing with the Lord I don't actually believe in needing a gun, I believe in heavenly protection because I no longer fear death. I know that if I die, I have let Jesus Christ into my heart, I make sure to have a relationship with Him and complete His will, so that Father God will allow me to enter into the Kingdom of heaven. I also know that if it is NOT my time to die even in situations such as the one, I am going to finish explaining, then the Lord will not allow me to die. That's what it feels like to not fear dying! Anyways, my children's father then took out his .9mm Tauras and was going to clean it. He's always been safe prior to this situation and prior to even knowing me, he said. He said there shouldn't have been a bullet in the chamber because he had taken the magazine out. Lesson learned he should have double checked ONE more time. He began to take off the rail and it went off, right next to me. I was focusing on my blog at that time. My ears rang for a moment, but I instantly stood up and looked over at him and his face was in complete shock, like he did not expect it to happen. Then we both looked down at his leg as he was sitting, and he had a bullet hole through his eft thigh. He instantly started pleading for an ambulance as blood was pouring out, so I instantly called. I thank God two out of three of our children stayed sleeping during it all. That's how soft the shot was, being so close ranged. My best friend, Shelbi was asleep with our girls in their room, but came out as soon as she heard it. She said it sounded like glass breaking or something. She proceeds to try to pull him and help him down the hall as he asked, so he was easier to get to for the police. I was on the phone with 911 waiting for the ambulance during it all. He was losing A LOT of blood! I had found a towel close by and I tried to wrap his leg to stop the blood. I definitely couldn't find anything I needed in the moment until AFTER the fact of course. The ambulance finally arrived, and the police offers put a stent on immediately and took him to the nearest hospital. He had hit his main artery and had to be taken to the hospital that was about 28 mins. away, for surgery. They wanted to helicopter him, but it was POURING the rain and visibility was too low to fly safely. So, he went by ambulance. They ended up taking a part of his healthy vein from his right leg and put it into place where it was severed in his left leg, the surgery took three hours and he lost four pints of blood (we have six overall in our bodies). While he was going through all of that I was told to stay for the detective to give my statement and meanwhile Shelbi and I got the kids out and to their grandparent's house. It took a good ten-fifteen minutes for her to arrive, and she instantly came in assuming it was domestic violence. She started taking pictures of all the blood and even me because I had his blood on him from holding the towel on his leg and kneeling in his blood around him. Making comments on my kid's toys being everywhere because I had just gotten our three-year-old to sleep at 12:30am and hadn't started to clean yet and this all happened by like 1:20am. I always do my cleaning when they are asleep, if you have kids, you know they will just make the mess again if they are awake. Lol. She then proceeded to get my best friend's statement and instantly said, "okay, now that you're not with either of them, were they fighting?" Shelbi told me as soon as the detective left. The situation was never said to be hostile as I told the 911 responder on the phone, he was cleaning it and it ACCIDENTALLY went off. I held my tongue, but still spoke up for sure! I wasn't having it! Definitely prayed against the judgement as I didn't know if my children's father was okay or not during all of this, the lack of empathy blew my mind. Once she was done, I asked her the best way to clean up the entire blood trail down the hall and all of it in the back room and she replied with, "Oh I am not sure, maybe some bleach. I'll pray for him." I know she didn't actually pray either, she didn't care, just by her emotions, or lack of them I should say. - To clean up large amounts of blood it's best to use hydrogen peroxide by the way, I learned it after the fact though. - So, there I was, left alone with the situation and all the blood. I instantly started thinking of it all as an attack, as I already was once waiting for the detective and having nothing but time to think, and I started to pray against it. I then buckled down and had faith he would make it and started on cleaning all the blood so the kids could come back. It took me about three hours. I finished around 5:30-6am. Fast forward to today, he is ALIVE, and his wounds are merely scars. He has some nerve pain, but I believe the Lord will completely heal him with some prayer! He is getting stronger every day and no longer on crutches, he's getting the functionality back in his leg. Glory be to God!!
Looking at the situation in spiritual eyes, where was the devil during all of this?
- He was allowed in first with the gun. An open door. Guns are worldly!
- He was in the rain as it was pouring HEAVY, and visibility was low during a time my children's father needed fast transportation.
- He was in the detective as she judged me and falsely accused the situation. - She lacked such empathy for how much blood loss there was and for my children's father's life.
- She wanted to make me feel bad about myself for not cleaning and the overall situation.
- She had no desire to help me in any positive way.
The devil is ALWAYS prowling around like a lion looking for whom he may devour. ANY open door gives him the opportunity to come in LEGALLY (meaning God has to allow it due to free will He gave us) to steal, kill and destroy our lives. He can use anything and anybody around us to try to affect us, to win our souls over Jesus before His return. The devil knows he has only a small amount of time on this earth, so be weary in these times especially of what you are allowing into your life. I didn't even know the gun was in the house and I instantly repented for it being there. Always have your full armor of God on, so that you can withstand the wiles of the devil and "don't trust in your pistol, because your pistol might jam." Thank you so much for reading, I pray it helps someone to put the gun away and to stop idolizing it, in the mighty name of Jesus! You do not know when your last day will be. Amen.
* (I thank you, Holy Spirit, for giving me the push to make a blog about what happened recently. I pray it opens someone's eyes that is trusting in their gun more than you, in Jesus mighty name! I love you; I cherish you; I THANK YOU, Lord! Amen!) *
